MRF to host city council candidates at next meeting

KINGMAN – The public is invited to the Mohave Republican Forum (MRF) meeting on Wednesday, July 10, at 5:30 p.m. with Kingman City Council candidates Jim Dykens, Vice Mayor Cherish Sammeli, and Councilman Keith Walker who have been confirmed they will be speaking. Robert Cathey and Elliott Chalew have also been invited but have not confirmed their being present. Each speaker will have the opportunity to address why he or she is a candidate for Kingman City Council, their experience, qualifications and why they each believe he/she should be elected to this position.

Those in attendance who have been MRF members in good standing for 30 or more days prior to the date of the meeting will have the opportunity to vote to issue pre-Primary endorsements for Republican candidates. An MRF endorsement will be made for candidates receiving a 2/3 majority of the votes cast. For uncontested races in the Republican primary, Republican candidates will automatically be endorsed by the forum.

MRF meetings for this month and also in August are being held at Beale Celebrations, 201 North Fourth St. There is an admission charge of $3 per person to assist with the meeting costs.

There are several eateries downtown if you would like to eat before or after the meeting. Water will be available at the meeting.
