KINGMAN – By a two-thirds majority vote of membership at its July 10 meeting, the Mohave Republican Forum (MRF) issued Pre-Primary endorsements for Arizona Corporation Commission: Rene Lopez, Lea Marquez Peterson and Rachel Walden; for Kingman City Council: Cherrish Sammeli and Keith Walker.

Candidates who have no contested Republican Primary elections except for write-ins, but who have or may have contested General Elections, were automatically endorsed, who include without limitation the Arizona House of Representatives candidates Leo Biasiucci and John Gillette; Mohave County Treasurer incumbent Sue Ann Mello; and Mohave County Recorder incumbent Lydia Durst.

A vote was taken regarding Republican candidates for Mohave County Assessor, Mohave County Sheriff, Mohave County School Superintendent, Mohave County Board of Supervisors Dist. 1, and Kingman City Council candidates and no endorsements were received by candidates in these races.

MRF meetings are held every second Wednesday of the month. The MRF meeting for August will be held at Beale Celebrations, 201 N. Fourth St.  The meeting room should be available by 4:30 p.m. and the program begins at 5:30 p.m. There is an admission charge of $3 per person to assist with the meeting costs.
