Havasu woman arrested after harboring runaway

Robyn Rogers

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Investigation of a Lake Havasu City teenage runaway has led to the arrest of a female adult who allegedly harbored and had sex with him. Lake Havasu Police report that the 17-year-old victim did not return home after leaving his residence on Feb. 14.

Detective Chris Angus said police received leads and tips that the male juvenile was staying at a residence on Beefeater Drive. Officers conducting surveillance on July 11 reportedly made contact with Robyn Rogers, 44, at her home in the 1400 block of Beefeater Drive.

“While talking with Ms. Rogers, the 17-year-old juvenile male runaway was observed leaving the rear of the residence and led officers on a short foot pursuit before being taken into custody,’’ Angus said. He said further investigation revealed the pair were involved in a relationship.

Rogers was arrested for three counts of sexual conduct with a minor, hindering prosecution, false reporting and possession of narcotic drugs and drug paraphernalia.
