Marshalls officially opens its doors

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman has announced the grand opening of Marshalls, the city’s newest retail destination, located at 3127 Stockton Hill Road.  Last week’s ribbon-cutting ceremony welcomed a crowd of eager customers and community leaders, celebrating the addition of this renowned retailer to Kingman’s growing economy.  Marshalls Kingman Store Manager Diane Serret and Vice Mayor Sammeli spoke at the event, emphasizing the store’s significance to the community. “This is a milestone for Kingman,” said Vice Mayor Sammeli. “We’re thrilled to welcome Marshalls and look forward to the positive impact it will have on our residents and local economy.”

Customers began lining up early, with the first arrivals forming a queue before 7:30 A.M. By the time the doors officially opened at 8:00 A.M., the crowd had grown to hundreds, and within the first hour, approximately 500 customers had visited the store.

A strong showing of local and regional leaders joined the celebration, including Councilmembers Arik and Savage, Councilmember-Elect Dykens, County Supervisor Jean Bishop, County Economic Development Director Tami Ursenbach, City Manager Tim Walsh, and Kingman Chamber of Commerce CEO Becky Fawson.

Marshalls District Manager Eric Shafer and Kingman’s Economic Development Project Manager Sylvia Shaffer were also in attendance.  “Eric and Sylvia worked extremely hard to bring this project from an idea to a reality,” said Bennett Bratley, Kingman Economic Development Director.  “Landing Marshalls has been a great accomplishment for the Kingman ED Team, the City of Kingman and the Kingman Community.”  According to Bennett, having the only Marshalls in Mohave County not only enhances the city’s shopping options but also underscores Kingman’s position as a regional hub for retail and economic activity.  “The overwhelming public response to today’s opening highlights the community’s growing need for more clothing, shoe, and department stores.”

As part of the grand opening festivities, Marshalls presented a $10,000 donation to the Kingman Area Food Bank, demonstrating its commitment to supporting the communities it serves.

Marshalls’ Kingman location is open daily from 9:30 A.M. to 9:30 P.M., offering a wide selection of clothing, home goods, and seasonal merchandise. This store represents the final addition to Marshalls’ regional expansion for 2024, making its opening a notable moment for both the company and the community.
