Man’s life changes over a lie

Dear Editor,

In time of everything that plays into a society, that people judge people without actually talking to the people, and when children rule the household instead of the parents. My story is this.

There is a man in a Kingman neighborhood that, when he was sitting on his front porch having a cigarette, because he doesn’t smoke in the house. And he was upset because his father was in the hospital in ICU. A neighbor kid rides his bike up to his house and yells at the man: “Are you a —- like your father?” The man just sat there not saying a word. Then four hours later a father knocks on his door and starts to yell at the man for what lie his kid said to him. The kid told his father that the man said he had a gun and that he was going to kill all the kids in the neighborhood.

Then the man stopped that fathe,r and said he never said that and he never talked to anyone in the neighborhood. The father said that his kid does not lie. But he did lie, and instead of spanking his kid, he spread lies in the neighborhood, and then everyone in the neighborhood started to treat him like he was a bad person. All because of a kid’s lie.

Yet did any of the neighbors go and talk to the neighbor? No, they just repeated the lie to other neighbors. Most of the neighbors involved are church going people, yet they became an abomination to God when they broke the Ten Commandments to love thy neighbor, thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Yet they do and say what they want no matter who they hurt. Because of a child’s lie, they destroy a man’s life for nothing.

The man and wife who tells the lies are so-called respected. The man is a fireman and his wife is a school teacher, yet because of their lies a man lives in fear of his life due to their spreading of lies by a child. Because of the neighbor’s lies all he wants to do is kill himself because people make him out to be a monster and that makes him want to die. People should not be allowed to make a lie, then live by the lie, and destroy another’s life with that lie just because they want to.
