LMNRA to host public meeting

Lake Mead National Recreation Area (LMNRA) staff invite the public to join them for a one-hour online community meeting on Thursday, September 28, at 3 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to share information about the work they do and increase community understanding and support of their operations, challenges, upcoming projects and initiatives. 

These quarterly meetings will have updates from the newly appointed Superintendent, Mike Gauthier, as well as short presentations on a variety of programs and projects that directly impact those who live and work in the area. 

The speaker lineup for the first meeting is:  

Superintendent Mike Gauthier — Introduction and Overview of Lake Mead Status Updates 

Branch Chief of Engineering Aimee Warner — Update on major park projects 

Deputy Chief of Maintenance Zane Johnson — Road repair and rehab updates 

Museum Curator Jessica Bitter — A look at the LAKE museum program 

Volunteers-In-Parks Coordinator Nancy Bernard — An overview of the Lake Mead Volunteers in Parks Program 

Chief Ranger Trouper Snow — An update on ongoing park issues regarding visitor behavior and associated subjects
