LHC Fire celebrates National EMS Week and EMS Recognition Day

The Lake Havasu City Fire Department is happy to recognize the men and women who deliver pre-hospital emergency care to the community and invite the community to join in sharing thanks.

Since 1974, the third full week of May has been designated National EMS Week in order to celebrate the vital public safety service EMS professionals provide. The week culminates on Friday, May 24, with EMS Recognition Day. The community is invited to join in recognizing the Lake Havasu City Firefighters, the Desert Hills Firefighters, and the River Medical Ambulance staff that answer the call when a medical emergency occurs.

They would also like to offer a special thanks to Havasu Regional Medical Center CEO Mike Patterson and his staff for providing a meal to EMS personnel in recognition of their service. www.EMSStrong.org   #EMSStrong
