LHC council member retires, bike safety discussed

LAKE HAVASU CITY – City council members passed their Rules of the Road motion for bicycles, electric bikes, scooters, etc., with the Lake Havasu Police Department. The previous meeting held on Tuesday, November 17, is when the police department addressed their concerns of traffic collision incidents with bicyclists and how to prevent them.

Now local law enforcement will place three authorized signs at Rotary Park, Island Walking Path, and the channel area for the needed safety.  Parks and Recreations announced that the community pool at the Aquatic Center will be closed from December 1 until December 16 for much needed maintenance and repairs.

An outgoing presentation for former council member David Lane took place for his eight years on service from 2016 to 2024. Lane received a plaque from the city for his diligence and ongoing leadership throughout his career in office.

An Administering oath of office for newly elected council members took place as well.  Both current council members Nancy Campbell and Cameron Moses took oaths for their second upcoming roles. While newly elected council member David Diaz was sworn in, making Tuesday, November 26, the very first meeting of his term.
