Dean Barlow

Lake Havasu City is deeply saddened by the passing of former Council Member Dean Barlow, a beacon of dedication, fiscal prudence, and unwavering commitment to our community. Dean departed from us on Friday, March 29, leaving behind a legacy of service and compassion.

Mayor Sheehy, with a heavy heart, expressed profound sorrow, remarking, “Dean embodied the essence of Lake Havasu City, tirelessly advocating for our well-being and the causes close to our hearts. His passion for animal welfare and environmental stewardship, reflected in his support for Keep Havasu Beautiful, will forever inspire us. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dean’s family and our community as we mourn this profound loss.”

Having been elected to City Council in 2008, Dean played a pivotal role in navigating our city through the challenges of the economic downturn and spearheading transformative projects like the city sewer initiative. His leadership, spanning two terms until 2016, has left a lasting mark on Lake Havasu City’s history and progress.

In honoring Dean Barlow, Lake Havasu City pledges to continue his legacy of service and community building, ensuring that his spirit lives on in the fabric of our city.
