KRMC welcomes Craig Ono, MD, to Kingman Orthopedics

KINGMAN – Dr. Craig Ono, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, has joined the care team at Kingman Orthopedics. With nearly three decades’ experience in military and civilian hospitals and medical centers, Dr. Ono cares for patients of all ages with musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, sports injuries, clubfoot, lower extremity conditions, hip dysplasia, upper extremity conditions, and scoliosis.

Dr. Ono graduated from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois, and completed his internship and residency training at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. He completed his fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics at Shriners Children’s in Honolulu, Hawaii.

He first practiced as an active-duty general and pediatric orthopedic surgeon in the United States Army, caring for service members and their families. He later served overseas in Kuwait, Macedonia, Iraq, and twice in Afghanistan.

Dr. Ono returned to Shriners Children’s Hawaii, providing orthopedic care to patients from infancy to young adulthood. He also served as a clinical associate and assistant professor at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii, where he did clinical research and taught medical students, PA students, fellows, and residents.

Dr. Ono joined KRMC because the growing rural practice appealed to him. With “excellent facilities, top-notch staff, and a welcoming community, I appreciate the chance to be a part of this health system,” he said.

His approach to patient care is family-centered, patient-focused, and team-based. Dr. Ono believes in effective communication and shared decision-making and is committed to providing state-of-the-art orthopedic surgery care.
