KPD issues vehicle theft alert

KINGMAN – The Kingman Police Department (KPD) would like to notify our citizens and visitors that in the last four and half months there has been a significant increase in motor vehicle thefts.   Since June 1st, KPD has responded to over seventy (70) such reports.  There has also been a significant increase in vehicle burglaries to unlocked vehicles.  With any vehicle KPD encourages you to make sure it is locked, think about using a steering wheel or brake pedal locking device and if possible park in a well-lit area.  Criminals often target vehicles they have easy access to, remove all firearms and valuables from your vehicles and make sure they are locked. LOCK IT OR LOSE IT!   With tips or information please call the Kingman Police Department at 928-753-2191 or Mohave Silent Witness at 928-753-1234 or 1-888-227-8780.  Rewards are available upon arrest of the subjects responsible for these crimes.
