thunderstorm with dark clouds

KINGMAN – The Kingman Police Department (KPD) has announced the cancellation of the Junior Police Academy (JPA) for 2020 due to restrictions set forth by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Traditionally, KPD has hosted two classes each summer that immerses 50 Kingman-area youths in a law enforcement curriculum.  The class sizes necessary to have an effective and participative experience for the students of the program do not conform to the safety protocols set forth to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

It is the goal of the Kingman Police Department to host the Junior Police Academy in the summer of 2021.
