Kingman Coins for Kindness program in full awing

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is excited to announce that signage will be popping up around town this week for the Kingman Coins for Kindness Program. In an effort to provide a safe and clean community for all residents, the program is designed to educate the community on their giving options, while discouraging panhandling. Kingman Coins for Kindness encourages responsible giving through donations to local organizations that are currently serving the homeless population.

In addition to the donation portion of the program, the City of Kingman has been working with local retailers through a landscape improvement grant program. The matching grant program partnered with property owners at specific locations where landscaping improvements would help mitigate and discourage panhandling, by improving their landscaping at the entrances and exits to their business area. “We have already begun to see the positive impact that this program can make, with the recent improvements to the island at the entrance to the Ross shopping area”, said Kingman Mayor, Ken Watkins.

Donations to Kingman Coins for Kindness can be given online at: https://www.cityofkingman.gov/government/kingman-coins-for-kindness or by scanning the QR code on the signs.
