Husband jailed for wife’s shooting death

KINGMAN – A Kingman woman has been killed by gunfire and her husband has been jailed. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) received 911 calls at 5:44 p.m. Tuesday, drawing response to the 1600 block of Thompson Ave.
“The victim was identified as Amber Lee Soster, 43, Kingman, who was transported to KRMC with multiple gunshot wounds, where she later succumbed to her injuries,” said MCSO spokeswoman Anita Mortensen. “The suspect was identified as Brent Phillip Soster, 43, the victim’s husband.”
Mortensen said Soster fled the homicide scene in his vehicle, which was subsequently located in California.
“San Bernardino County deputies were involved in a pursuit with the suspect, who was later taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for injuries,” Mortensen said. She said investigation continues and that Soster will be extradited back to Arizona for local prosecution.
