Good month for Food Bank

Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

November was good month, community really stepped up and helped us with our turkey. Giveaway, we were able to serve out 280 Thanksgiving meals to families.

I would like to give a big thank you for all the support during the month of November for the turkey and many many pounds of donated food. We can’t do this without you!

Shelves and storage

Our shelves are empty! Remember, that food coming in goes out the same day! It is a constant moving of food. More and more first time shoppers are arriving! Let’s do this!

Holidays – Here they come!

This is the primary time of the year to consider your donations to the food bank including food donations. Please feel free to visit https://www.kingmanreafoodbank.org/donate The work is constant but this is the season to prepare for now and 2026. Yes, 2026! Major donations are always appreciated. Major donations come from the many corporations in and out of our area, as well as our local important population. Checks are always welcome. Please send your check to:

Kingman Area Food Bank, 2930 East Butler Avenue, Kingman, Arizona 86409.

Volunteers

What would we do with out volunteers? So much to do! Keep the store stocked up, general cleaning, sorting veggies and spices, sanitizing the sorting and processing tables, unloading donation trucks and pallets of food, stocking and sorting canned good and paper goods, loading freezer, and even stuffing envelopes and more, including office administration. We even have a volunteer who assists in donor management, preparing documents and such.

Ryan Garcia, Executive Director
