Free residential trash day set

GOLDEN VALLEY –  A free trash day for residential households on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Cerbat Landfill. The event is designed to keep the community clean with this free and legal dumping opportunity. The event will run from 8 a.m. to noon, and is hosted in part by Mohave County ERACE, Gambi360 and Westside Disposal. Cerbat Landfill is located at 7300 Mineral Park Rd.

The landfill asks the loads are securely tarped and that residents are prepared to unload their own waste. Due to liability reasons staff at the event are not allowed to assist with unloading.

Items that will not be accepted include appliances containing freon, tires on rims, household hazardous waste, medical waste including sharps and needles, used oil and lubricants, commercial waste and batteries. The county will be hosting a hazardous waste event in the future.
