MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College is now enrolling students for fall semester classes that start August 18. There’s also still time to register for short-term eight-week courses that begin March 17 and summer semester classes that start June 2.
Students are encouraged to register early because many classes fill up quickly. New and returning students can get started at Mohave.edu/admission.
“The first step for new students is to create a student account, and the College team is happy to help guide them through the admissions and enrollment process,” said MCC Executive Director of College Communications James Jarman. “Enrolling early not only secures a seat in the classes you need, but also helps the College assess demand and add courses if necessary.”
Academic Divisions at MCC
The College has four academic divisions that provide pathways for students to pursue their higher education and career goals:
* Arts and Sciences
* Career and Technical Education
* Health and Public Services
* Corporate and Community Education
Students can choose from a variety of degree and certificate programs, as well as non-credit classes designed for personal enrichment and career development.
Anyone with computer access can search classes that are available for each upcoming semester by visiting the College website Mohave.edu, selecting the Academics tab near the top of the page and then clicking the Search Available Courses link.
The College partners with business, industry, government and education leaders throughout the state to ensure graduates are well-prepared to enter the workforce or transfer to a university to continue their higher education goals. The College facilitates seamless credit transfers with all of the public universities in Arizona, and many others.
For those who want to learn but are not interested in earning a college degree or certificate, the Corporate and Community Education Division provides a wide range of non-credit classes. Students can gain new skills in a variety of classes including short-term workforce and career training. To view the non-credit options, just head to Mohave.edu and click the Community & Corporate Education button in the middle of the page.
The College also has an Adult Education department that can assist those who did not finish their high school education and/or those who need assistance learning to speak English.
