Downtown Havasu’s disco themed night will have full dance floor

LAKE HAVASU CITY — For the past four years, event organizers Dwellers and Dreamers have

been enhancing the vibrancy of Lake Havasu’s downtown nightlife.

Partnering up with local nonprofit Havasu Together, Dwellers and Dreamers

was founded by Jenny D., a Havasu local who does event coordinating for a

living, as well as a hobby. The teams have united to create free family-

oriented occasions such as the night and youth market, and their weekly

farmer’s market.

This weekend, the organizers will be hosting more of a themed fun

filled evening called Soul Train Night. The planners will be turning

downtown in a full dance floor.  With disco era hits provided by DJ Mayan

Disco Music, the time traveling celebration will have over twenty-five

local vendors, food trucks, bounce houses, kids crafts, and many

opportunities to shop and visit with Havasu retailors.

Adults attending can enjoy beverages from Copper Still Distillery, and

costumes are strongly encouraged.  The coordinators invite the community

to breakout those platform shoes, big hair, and bell bottoms for yet

another unforgettable blowout.  The Soul Train Night is free to the

public and will be on Friday February 6 from 6pm to 9pm at The Kaws at

2144 McCulloch Bvd.

As the Dwellers and Dreamers team continues to grow, Jenny D. is has

primarily noticed connections that have been developed over the years

with the local vendors. “I really love how supportive they are of one

another, and it really is just a great spirit of having an extended

family within the vendors of the downtown community,” Jenny D. said.
