Does recall really have anything to do with patriotism?

Dear Editor,

I am referencing the protests that are occurring in Mohave County regarding The Great American Pizza place. Specifically “Peaceful Protest – We Will Not Comply”; occurring on December 4;

Regarding the owner of GAP; he has several signs up that show his patriotism as a call to the public to join in with him to recall Board of Supervisors Chairman Jean Bishop. It seems that there is a substantial amount of social media sites dedicated to attack anyone (yes, even Republicans) that disagrees with what the owner is doing.

Some of us who disagree (because of unpatriotic and un-American reasons which I will explain) are having our posts and comments censored and removed. This is causing an illusion that the majority of people on social media are in agreement with GAP.

The reason why I am not in agreement and I do not believe that “Patriotism” has anything to do with this, is because no businesses in Mohave County has ever been shut down (as the protest host is implying), and as a matter of fact, GAP has turned a profit selling merchandise (that people have shared) that came from Nicaragua, China, Honduras, The Dominican Republic, Mexico and everywhere else but the United States.

I had purchased items from the Trump campaign during the Bullhead City rally where the merchandise sold there had “Made in the USA” tagged right on their merchandise. I, and my family are patriots and we follow the “Buy American” slogan and we like our goods from America. After all this is about “patriotism” in our country, and in our county.

The owner has a poster on the inside of his pizza shop that says, “In this place we always salute our flag, Support our troops, Buy American, Say “Merry Christmas” Say ‘One Nation under God’, Respect our law enforcement. If this offends you as we are obviously politically incorrect, THERE’S THE DOOR”.

Well here’s what I don’t understand, and I will end this with two questions. How can we buy American from GAP when he’s not selling American? And, does this recall really have anything to do with “Patriotism”, or is it just a money grab?

  1. And what’s up with the German guy that Robert Hall is profiling at his restaurant for? Germans are not American’s.
