Death investigation under way in Bullhead City

BULLHEAD CITY — The Mohave County Medical Examiner will conduct autopsies in an attempt to determine the official cause of death of an elderly couple in Bullhead City. Family members on Saturday morning reportedly climbed a fence and peered inside to see the 82-year-old man lying in the kitchen of the home in the 700 block of Palo Verde Drive.

The 81-year-old woman and a pet dog were also deceased within the home.

There was no sign of trauma to the bodies, according to Bullhead City police department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt. She said the matter is being treated as a death investigation rather than a homicide.

“Police believe no one else had entered the home or were involved in the couple’s deaths,” Fromelt said. “Additional details will be released as they become available.”
