Dad stabber takes plea deal

Dylan Tell

BULLHEAD CITY – A father recently stabbed by his own son in Bullhead City has expressed support for the plea agreement that spares the defendant from prison. The plea deal for Dylan Tell, 21, was accepted by Judge Billy Sipe on Friday, April 19.

Deputy Mohave County Attorney Carlos Lopez informed the Court that Tell had been drinking before he stabbed his father in the chest during an April 1 argument at a home in the 300 block of Marina Boulevard. The deal dismissed two aggravated assault counts and convicts Tell of another assault count reduced from an attempted second-degree murder charge.

Terms of the agreement require Judge Sipe to order 120 days in jail, followed by five years of supervised probation at Tell’s May 17 sentencing hearing.
