Commissioner position finalists

KINGMAN – 4 Kingman based attorneys are recommended for possible appointment as Mohave County Court Commissioner. The bench vacancy was created last month when Commissioner Megan McCoy was promoted to serve out the term of retired Superior Court Judge Charles Gurtler.

The Mohave County Superior Court Committee on Special Judicial Officer Appointments on Monday recommended that Prosecutor David Wayt and Legal Advocate Aaron Demke be considered for the Commission post. The panel is recommending that Civil Division Attorney Tyler Palmer and Assistant Arizona Attorney General Amy Gardner also be considered.

Presiding Superior Court Judge Steve Moss will make the appointment. Citizens have until close of business Tuesday, Oct. 5 to submit written comment on the candidates to: Superior Court in Mohave County, Attn: Kip Anderson at 415 E. Spring St, P.O. Box 7000, Kingman, Arizona 86402. Comments can also be submitted by emailing courtadmin@mohavecourts.com or faxing (928) 753-8908.
