Dear Editor, Wow! You are part of the

Thank you for reading The Standard newspaper online!

Come out for First Friday

KINGMAN – Join downtown merchants Friday, Sept. 1, for some family fun on First Friday. There will be music, specials, food trucks, and vendors! Several shops will be open late. There will be food trucks, vendors, live music and a bounce house at The Patio, 225 Beale St. Festivities begin as early as 4 p.m.

This month’s theme is “The HeART of Kingman.” It is a great time to take a fun new art class. A “First Friday Sip and Doodle” class is being offered by Kingman Center for the Arts (KCA) Education and Outreach group in partnership with the Healthy Bar. The September 1 class is the first in a series where students learn the basics of designing with doodles. Classes with new content will be held every First Friday through the end of the year with more patterns taught in each class. Students attend any combination of classes held at 204 E. Beale Street.

Creative doodling is simple, fun, and relaxing. Anyone between the ages of 13-to-100 will enjoy learning tips and tricks for turning their doodles into art.  There is no need to bring supplies to class; however, if students prefer using their own paper, pencil, pens, and erasers, they are encouraged to bring them along with their imagination.

Go to www.kingmanarts.org to learn more details and to register to attend. The class fee includes a coupon for $7 off any order (no minimum) with your paid registration to First Friday Sip & Doodles. This coupon offer is valid only during the class (3-5pm on First Friday).

“The Kingman Center for the Arts is a 501(c )3 non-profit organization committed to enriching the residents of Kingman, AZ, and neighboring communities through art exhibits, performing and visual arts education, theater performances, and special events.”
