KINGMAN, Ariz. – This year, as in years past, College Park Church on Jagerson Ave., opened their hearts and their doors to the entire community of Kingman for their annual 4th of July Block Party. If you missed it, you missed out on some good, clean fun and yummy food. And everything was free. All they asked was just come and have fun. And fun was had by all.

For the younger kids, there were bounce houses, a water slide, and several indoor games like basketball and bowling. There was a dunking booth where children and adults alike could try to dunk whoever was in the seat. A brass band played under the big white-top tent and inside you could sit and cool off in an air conditioned room while watching a magician who turned out to be pretty funny too.
If you were there, you did not leave hungry because the church offered hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream, cookies and ice cold water. It was such a fun day, that many did not leave until well after the 3 p.m. closing time.
