City of Kingman Joins Community Partners for Annual Day of Caring, September 20

Desert Highway And Mountains At Sunset, Death Valley National Park, California

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Annual Day of Caring will take place Saturday, September 20, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. River Cities United Way, along with City of Kingman Solid Waste Department and the Clean City Commission, have been organizing this event and providing supplies for the past several years to help insure event success. Volunteers can meet at 2202 Hualapai Mountain Road (Foothills Bank) to receive their supplies for cleanup.

The Clean City Commission has participated in the event over the past several years by conducting an Adopt-a-Highway clean-up within a section that stretches on both sides of Andy Devine Avenue from near Bashas’ to the City of Kingman Public Works Facility.

Motorists around the city are cautioned that volunteers will be out along roadways, so to use extra caution as these volunteers work to beautify the city. Volunteers need to be aware of traffic and should face toward the direction of traffic when close to the road.
