Mohave County has lost an admired pioneer family member. Dan Cofer Bishop, 84, passed away on December 16 at home in Kingman, Arizona. Dan was born in Kingman to Jennielee and Dan McDonald, August 21, 1936. Dan was preceded in death by his young father due to a mining accident but he was lucky to have a second father in his life, Judd Bishop. The family loved and worked on the Windmill Ranch near Wickiup where Dan grew into the role of rancher/cowboy. Yvonne Collins died December 6, 2020 at Kingman Regional Medical Center. Born to Emile and Marie Rose Labonte on May 18, 1930 in Claremont, NH, she was preceded in death by her parents, younger sister Pauline and her husband of 52 years William “Slim” Collins; her granddaughter Julie and great-grandson Colton Tyler. Slim and Yvonne relocated to Winslow, Ariz., in 1964 with their two sons, where they both worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. Robert Huston Heuerman Sr. passed away peacefully at Joan & Diana’s Hospice Home on November 27, 2020 at the age of 91. Born Sept. 15,1929 and raised in Faribault, MN, Robert moved to Los Angeles with his mother in 1943. He sold newspapers and baby sat for neighbors and finished his education at L.A. High. Soon after, he was hired by the AT&SF railroad where he would spend 38 of the next 40 years. By January 1951, America’s involvement in the Korean War had elapsed 6 months.
