Dear Editor, Summer officially begins this weekend and most of us love summer.  Millions of Americans will enjoy having a weekend free from work next weekend. However, not everyone will be vacationing. Keep in mind that many Americans will keep the convenient stores, grocery stores, restaurants and many retail stores open for your shopping pleasure. Many of these hard-working people will have a day off but it may not be Monday or even during the weekend. Dear Editor, This is the second commentary I’ve read by Ms. J.M. so I just wanted to give this one man’s opinion. Personally, I wish the Supreme Court had left Roe vs. Wade as it was. The courts and the government need to stay away and let people make their own choices because in the end it is God that judges us for our actions. Dear Editor, I smiled when Mohave County claimed it was facing a whopping $18.5 million deficit for 2024.  Because I knew how much money is in the County’s General Fund. I also know how much operating surplus the County has incurred over previous years. But my smile gave way to consternation when I recalled how the County leaders wanted, but failed to continue the ? cent sales tax for capital projects that ended in 2019. Dear Editor, I’ve always enjoyed a Freudian slip. It con give insight into what else is on someone’s mind. In a recent opinion letter I wrote, “Brighter futures is not an 1800 ban.” I slipped and used the word environmental instead of economical. But maybe I did it unknowingly with good intentions being that both apply to the concerns about banned abortions. I don’t normally talk about the matters of overpopulation because how many kids one has is nobody’s business. Not unless it’s forced pregnancies by our government.
