Probation for Ketchersid in fentanyl seizure case

KINGMAN – The first of three defendants charged in a fentanyl seizure in Lake Havasu City has entered a probation-guaranteed plea agreement. Savannah Ketchersid, 29, pleaded guilty to a charge reduced to attempted transportation of a narcotic drug for sale during an April 22 hearing in Kingman.

A police report indicated that Ketchersid, her boyfriend Zachary Davis, 34, both of Lake Havasu, and Huntington Beach resident Zachary Stuart, 32, traveled from Lake Havasu to California to purchase drugs in Santa Ana.

Deputy Mohave County Attorney Jacob Cote said Ketchersid drove back into Arizona with both men and more than 55 grams of fentanyl. The men summoned an Uber ride at the Love’s gas station outside Lake Havasu to separate from Ketchersid, and the drugs were discovered after the Uber driver was stopped for speeding inside the city limits on March 20.

The Uber driver was issued a warning and released while Stuart and Davis were arrested for narcotics related charges. Ketchersid was stopped and arrested after she drove into the city from the gas station.

Ketchersid will serve no further jail time when she is placed on probation and released from custody when sentenced on May 20.

Legal proceedings are pending for Stuart and Davis who face transportation of narcotic drugs for sale and other charges.
