KINGMAN – Sounds of Kingman continues their Concert in the Park series with Run the Band on Sunday, Sept. 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Metcalfe Park, 315 W. Beale St. Run the Band is a fun and interactive rock/country band for all occasions. This concert is sponsored by Walker Electric.
KINGMAN – The streetscaping project underway in downtown Kingman poses a challenge for the upcoming annual Andy Devine Days parade. Phase 1 of the $7-million infrastructure upgrade occupies a prime portion of the parade route between Second and Third Sts., on Beale St., between Pawn World and the Circle K store. The Parks and Recreation Department has historically been in charge of the parade. The excitement is being built as the lively sport is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16 and 17 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Lake Havasu State Park. Anderson Power Sports along with Jet Sports Boating Association (JSBA) will be in collaboration with promotors Monte Hughes and Ross Wallach. PARKER – Impairment is suspected in a deadly Labor Day weekend traffic accident in the Colorado River community of Parker. Emergency service personnel responded at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday to the incident in the area of California Ave. and Riverside Dr. Police Chief Mike Bailey says Karan Singh was northbound on California Ave. when the commercial truck he was operating struck three passenger vehicles stopped at a red light at the Riverside Dr. intersection.
