Public assistance requested in identifying a victim from 1971 homicide

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit (SIU) is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying a previously unidentified female victim from a 1971 Homicide case. On January 23, 1971, the victim was located in the desert area near a dirt road, 2.2 miles east of US Hwy 93 on Hackberry Road. The victim was located in a canvas sack that had been tied at the top with a white cotton rope. The sack was a white cotton, loosely woven sack with the words “Deer-Pak Ames Harris Neville Co.,” printed in green. The female victim was described…

Kingman city council caught off guard by indictment of city business partner

KINGMAN – Kingman City Manager Ron Foggin informed elected officials and municipal management team members Monday that he was caught off guard by news of the indictment of a city business partner for an alleged campaign contribution violation. Body recovered of woman who drown in Colorado river

TOPOCK ­– The body of a second Valley Center, California resident has been recovered from the Colorado River, in the area of Topock Gorge, about 15 miles north of Lake Havasu. Mohave County sheriff’s office personnel responded early Thursday afternoon after dispatch was notified that a female subject had been located.   Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said the apparent drowning victim has been identified as Suzan Weaver, 68. Get Ready for 2022 Transaction Privilege Tax License Renewals

The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) plans to mail renewal letters to business owners this month revising them to renew their Arizona Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) License before January 1. Penalties will apply to late renewals. Businesses are encouraged to update and verify their account information annually to prevent unnecessary fees and penalties. The online services portal, AZTaxes.gov, enables registered businesses to update their accounts at any time. An e-signature PIN is required to make changes. ADOR advises taxpayers to enroll now on the AZTaxes.gov website for easier renewals and faster processing and to avoid unnecessary fees and penalties. State…
