KINGMAN – A local judge has broad discretion at an upcoming sentencing hearing for a Kingman man arrested early this year for a sex offense involving a minor. Police reports indicate 69-year-old Russel Farney performed a sex act on a nine-year-old boy in Feb. at his home in the 2900 block of Snavely Ave.
Farney pleaded guilty to a charge reduced to attempted sexual conduct with a minor. Terms of the agreement entered may allow the Court to impose as little as probation and as much as 15 years in prison.

Work is scheduled to begin Sunday, June 2, 2024, and will continue for approximately one week. KINGMAN – A previously convicted sex offender has accepted a plea agreement in a new case. Johnathan Proenneke, 38, Kingman, entered a plea agreement during a May 21 hearing before Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle.
