Inmate charged with assaulting corrections officer

A Bullhead City woman held on criminal charges will also be prosecuted for assaulting a corrections officer following a disturbance at the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman. Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said the violence broke out last Friday at 10:20 a.m. Mortensen said Lisa Marie Jamison, 38, ignored a female officer’s directive to inmates to return to their cells. “Jamison began yelling at staff that she would not lock down, lunged at the staff member and a fight ensued,” Mortensen said. “The victim delivered fist strikes in an attempt to defend herself. Minnesota resident perishes in Golden Valley crash

A resident of Shakopee, Minnesota was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was operating was struck by a truck in Golden Valley last Friday. Havasu bust nests meth, heroin, firearm

A Lake Havasu City man was arrested after police seized drugs during a search of his home in the 1100 block of Rolling Hills Drive.
