Dolan Springs Arts & Crafts Festival is April 13

The Dolan Springs Crazy Crafter’s Society will host their annual Spring Arts & Crafts Fair Saturday, April 13, from  9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held at the Dolan Springs Community Council Bldg, 15195 Pierce Ferry Rd. Romero plea postponed; defendant disputes facts of case

Attempted entry of a plea agreement in a bizarre episode of violence in Bullhead City was recently postponed when the defendant disputed the recitation of the facts of the case provided by Deputy Mohave County Attorney Karolina Czaplinska. Czaplinska said that Luis Romero, 26, Bullhead City, and two unidentified males pulled behind a vehicle that was parked in the 2000 block of Highway 95 last Sept. She told Mohave County Superior Court Commissioner Billy Sipe that Romero approached the vehicle and assaulted the front seat passenger through an open window. Summer teen volunteer program taking applications

Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the Summer Teen Volunteer program for teens ages 14 to 17.  Interested teens must be 14 years old by April 11 in order to participate in program. The Summer Teen Volunteer program provides teens the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of recreation. The program is designed to improve communication and teamwork skills while teaching young adults to work with the Summer Camp participants. No injuries in shed fire

On March 19, the Bullhead City Fire Department responded to the 1700 block of Coronado Dr. for the report of a residential structure fire. Initial reports from dispatch indicated that victims may still be inside of the structure. Upon arrival, crews reported a single wide mobile home with heavy smoke and active fire showing. Engine 761’s crew quickly evaluated the scene and confirmed that the structure had been evacuated. Firefighters worked aggressively to extinguish the blaze making entry into the structure checking for any further extensions and began the overhaul process.
