A Laughlin-based television station’s bid to be placed within the Mohave County Television Improvement District will be aired during Monday’s Board of Supervisors meeting in Kingman. The Board directed staff nearly two years ago to determine whether system space could be found for TV2, KLBC Laughlin. “Since that time staff has worked extensively with legal counsel, our communications engineer and subcontractor to identify a solution that would keep all of the other existing channels on the air while providing an option for TV-2 to be added to the Television District System,” stated backup material for the Board’s consideration. Annie Wofford of Lake Havasu City, was one of more than 1,700 current University of Iowa students who recently collaborated to raise almost $3 million in financial support for the UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital as participants in the 25th annual UI Dance Marathon. During the event Feb. 1-2 at the Iowa Memorial Union, student participants unveiled the total of $2,960,403.25, which supports pediatric oncology patients and their families at the hospital and advances cancer research.
