Art exhibit space to open in Route 66 Museum

KINGMAN –The Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona is developing a new art space in the Arizona Route 66 Museum at the Powerhouse Visitor Center in Kingman.  The exhibit space will feature Route 66 art on an annual rotating basis. The first exhibit will feature the work of Bob Waldmire. As a former member of the Association, and previous owner of a Route 66 Arizona business, the Hackberry General Store, the Association was eager to honor Bob for his contributions to Route 66 Arizona by exhibiting his works in the inaugural show. Alternatives seek to address natural resource and public safety impacts caused by overpopulated herd KINGMAN, Ariz. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Kingman and Lake Havasu field offices are seeking public input on an environmental assessment (EA) analyzing a proposed wild burro gather and use of fertility controls within and near the Black Mountain Herd Management Area (HMA). The HMA is located in western Mohave County.   The estimated wild burro population in the Black Mountain HMA is more than 2,200 — nearly four times greater than the target population of 478, creating impacts to landscape health and wildlife.  Additionally, wild…

KINGMAN – Construction for the Andy Devine Avenue ADA improvements project will begin at the intersection of S. Second St. and Andy Devine Ave. on Tuesday, March 3. A full street closure of S. Second St. will be required for construction operations between Topeka St. and Andy Devine Ave. S. Fourth St. and Andy Devine Ave. will be reopened to traffic before S. Second St. is closed. S.
