Bullhead schools finalize distant learning plans for students K-8

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Elementary School District expects to roll out plans Wednesday afternoon, March 25, for students’ offsite distance learning programs during the State-mandated school closure through at least April 10. Teachers will distribute lessons two ways.  Students with internet access and the necessary technology will have online classes.  Those who do not have internet access will receive classwork in packets delivered via school buses at designated stops and times.  Those bus schedules are also being finalized. Executive order covers all evictions for Arizonans

PHOENIX – Arizona Governor Ducey issued an executive order on Tuesday, March 24, delaying the enforcement of eviction action orders for renters impacted by COVID-19. The order applies to renters who are quarantining due to COVID-19 or are facing economic hardship as a result of the outbreak. MOHAVE COUNTY – The confirmation of the first positive case of COVID-19 in Mohave County has triggered the enforcement of Governor Doug Ducey’s Arizona Executive Order 2020-09 in Mohave County. Until further notice, all bars, movie and stage theaters, indoor gyms and fitness clubs in Mohave County, including all those in the incorporated cities of Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City and Kingman, must close to the public immediately. Virus affects local tourism sector

MOHAVE COUNTY – The tourism sector of the economy is quite vulnerable to the coronavirus. Spring events that draw thousands of people to the tri-state area are being postponed if not canceled due to social distancing protocols and travel restrictions.
