Kingman Area Foodbank honored KINGMAN — The Kingman Chamber of Commerce accepts nominations for people and agencies that provide outstanding services to the Kingman community throughout each year, and once a year selects individuals and businesses from those nominees for the Andy award. One of our volunteers, Elizabeth “Marcella” Jackson chose to nominate the Kingman Area Foodbank. LITTLEFIELD – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Joshua Bradyn Blake, 26 of Logan, UT, Aundrae Giles, 28 of Spanish Fork, UT, and Craig Anthony Hanlin, 50 of St. George, UT. On Saturday, Sept. 19, at approximately 1 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling northbound on Interstate 15. Deputies made contact with the driver, identified as Blake, who advised he did not have a valid driver’s license. The passenger was identified as Giles, and the backseat passenger was identified as Hanlin. Blake gave consent to a search of the vehicle, which resulted in locating 223 grams…

WL Nugent Cancer Center receives American Cancer Society Grant o help local patients with transportation

KINGMAN – Cancer patients undergoing treatment frequently require assistance getting to and from facilities, often creating a financial and logistical burden. That’s why the American Cancer Society has awarded a transportation grant to Kingman Regional Medical Center’s WL Nugent Cancer Center. These funds will be used to address the transportation needs of cancer patients inthe Kingman service area. An estimated 33,790 Arizona residents will learn they have cancer this year, and getting to their scheduled treatment may be one of their greatest roadblocks.   The Arizona Department of Transportation advises Peach Springs area motorists to plan for upcoming delays of up to 20 minutes on State Route 66 between Administration Road and the Grand Canyon Caverns (mileposts 104 to 115).
