Two arrested in LHC on separate drug charges

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City police separate drug busts this week. Police said David Obermeyer, 69, was arrested following a Tuesday search of his home in the 3000 block of Pepperwood Drive. Officers reportedly seized 7 ounces of methamphetamine from the residence. The other arrest occurred after officers spotted a subject in the 2900 block of Kiowa Avenue who was known to be named in warrants issued for his arrest. Operation King Crimson nets 120 pounds of meth, two pounds of heroin

KINGMAN – Local authorities say two Kingman-based Drug Trafficking Organizations (DTO’s) have been dismantled through “Operation King Crimson”, a 21-month-long investigation coordinated by the MAGNET narcotics task force and supported by state and federal law enforcement agencies. Two dozen people 28-70 years of age have been arrested for various drug offenses. Most of the defendants are from Kingman while a few are from Golden Valley, Dolan Springs and Las Vegas. He has demonstrated that he has the knowledge, experience, and tenure to act as a supervisor and lead others. John Wilson is recognized as a valuable member of the agency. Wilson started his career with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office in August 2001. Meth dealer gets five years

KINGMAN – Kingman women charged in unrelated drug cases made separate appearances in Mohave County Superior Court Tuesday, Nov. 10. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Doug Camacho ordered a five-year prison sentence for Amber Copsey, 25. Copsey was credited for the 409 days she has been in custody awaiting trial. Copsey occupied a vehicle from which officers seized about 12 ounces of methamphetamine following a Sept. 27, 2019 traffic stop in the 3400 block of Stockton Hill Road. “That is an enormous amount of methamphetamine to dump into our community,” Judge Lambert said.
