Robert Yale, 28, was convicted of aggravated assault for a June 2017 attack upon his 74-year-old wheelchair-bound grandfather-in-law. Yale admitted he was under the influence of drugs when he kicked the man in the head, causing brain bleeding. “He is very sad that this occurred, just heart broken,” defense attorney Anita Dale said of her client’s remorse. Morgan sentenced for waterway death

A two-year prison term has been ordered for a California man convicted in a waterway fatality. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert imposed sentence Oct. 22 for Kevin Morgon, 47. Morgon pleaded guilty to negligent homicide and aggravated assault for a June, 2016 accident on the Colorado River in Bullhead City. A boat operated by Morgon collided with a jet ski. A 13-year-old girl on the personal watercraft was killed and her mother was seriously injured. Over the last few weeks, multiple reports have been taken in regards to individualsreceiving letters and/or debit cards for unemployment benefits that they did not apply for. The letters areusually addressed to someone else using the recipients’ address. Two charged with drugs for sale

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Two Lake Havasu City men face prosecution following seizure of drugs, cash and weapons. Police were involved in an investigation of a rash of drug overdoses when they visited a two-bedroom apartment in the 2200 block of McCulloch Blvd on Sept. 29. They were able to conduct a search of the unit when they smelled marijuana and spotted drug paraphernalia when the door was opened. Officers reportedly confiscated about an ounce of cocaine, hallucinogenic mushrooms packaged for sale in baggies, dozens of marijuana oil cartridges, two firearms and more than $3,000 in cash.
