KINGMAN – A free seminar, sponsored by Kingman Force on Force will be held Sunday, November 24, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Kingman Force on Force, 3001 Stockton Hill Rd., Suite 1. This seminar will prepare children to avoid and deal with being bullied, and if necessary, how to defend themselves while asking for help. Parents (or at least one guardian must attend the class). KINGMAN – The public is invited to the Kingman Mohave Lions Club meeting Thursday November 21, at noon, whereat a representative from the Mohave County Tobacco Use Prevention Program (McTUPP) will be speaking about the Great American Smoke Out which is recognized each year on the third Thursday in November. This meeting is at Calico’s Restaurant, 418 West Beale St., Kingman, AZ 86401. There is no admission charge to attend the meeting. KINGMAN – The Board of Supervisors is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for the start of the renovation and expansion of the Mohave County Library – Kingman at 3269 North Burbank Street. Dignitaries will make brief remarks during the event scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. next Monday, November 25. Local contractor T.R. Orr is handling the $4.3-million project with completion scheduled in late 2020. The groundbreaking is open to the public.
