Hindenach resigns; Kingman Chamber seeks new president

The Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce (KACC) is looking for a new president following the quick exit of Michael Hindenach. Chamber Board Chairman Cherish Sammeli said Hindenach tendered his resignation Monday and that it was effective immediately. Sammeli said she appreciated Hindenach’s service to the chamber, noting his accomplishments included relocating to a downtown office and his fundraising efforts involving the Hollywood & Wine and Kingman Derby activities. Two apprehended in meth bust; one at large

Nearly a pound of methamphetamine was seized in north Kingman Tuesday. The MAGNET narcotics task force says the ordeal began unfolding about 4:00 a.m. in the 2700 block of Northfield Avenue. MAGNET Sergeant Joel Freed said a deputy was beginning to initiate a routine traffic stop when the suspect vehicle pulled into the driveway of a home on the street. At least two people reportedly fled the rental car. Freed said about eight ounces of methamphetamine was found on the ground outside the vehicle and about six more ounces of the drug was found inside the car. Freed said one…

A person would think hunger and the inconvenience of living in a car, seeking shelter in a cardboard box or sleeping on a sidewalk is the worst part of being homeless. It isn’t. Yes, going for two or three days with little food, unable to shower or practice proper hygiene plus the indignities, embarrassment and humiliation of being both broke and homeless are pretty tough things to deal with. Craft fair vendors sought

Greater Grace Fellowship, a non-profit Christian teaching ministry, is seeking arts and crafts, food, and merchant vendors for its upcoming summer fairs in Arizona. The first this year being April 12 through 14 in Cottonwood; then May 25 through 27 in Payson; Aug. 31 through Sept. 2 in Payson. An additional fair is being developed in the White Mountain area for the Fourth of July weekend.
