QUARTZSITE – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) invites the public to participate in an informational pre-application workshop regarding the Orion Solar facility proposed on BLM-administered public lands south of Interstate 10, 30 miles east of Quartzsite. The Feb. 19 workshop will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Quartzsite Community Center, 295 E. Chandler Street. The BLM is considering a proposal from 174 Power Global, Corp. to construct, operate, maintain, and decommission a utility-scale photovoltaic solar facility on 4,654 acres of BLM-administered public land in southeastern La Paz County. KINGMAN – In an effort to streamline customer service, the Kingman Municipal Court and City Attorney’s office will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and closed on Fridays, beginning March 30. The court would like the public to know that walk-In wthat are currently being heard on Thursdays and Fridays will be held at 9 a.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays beginning March 30. BULLHEAD CITY – A juvenile suffered smoke inhalation in a Friday fire that destroyed a home in the 1800 block of Diamond Drive in Bullhead City. Fire Department personnel dispatched at 11:08 a.m. reportedly arrived to find a mobile home 75% involved in smoke with flames burning through side windows. Fire department spokeswoman Lori Viles said the minor was treated on scene and transported to a local hospital while firefighters used the deck-mounted master stream for an aggressive attack on the blaze. “Crews continued to knock down the fire and start the overhaul process,” Viles said in a news release….
