KINGMAN – On Wednesday, January 15, the Route 66 Yacht Club will be hosting a special presentation on tourism and related economic development at Calico’s Restaurant, 418 East Beale St. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. with a meet and greet followed by the presentation at 6:00 p.m. Attendees will receive a complimentary Mother Road Route 66 Passport. The featured speaker will be Jim Hinckley, author of 19 books. Hinckley is also a tour and tourism development consultant. KINGMAN – The public is invited to the Mohave Republican Forum (MRF) meeting on Wednesday, January 8, at 5:30 p.m. U.S. Senate candidate Daniel McCarthy and City of Kingman Census representative Sylvia Shaffer of the City of Kingman regarding the U.S. Census will be speaking and answering questions. MRF meetings are held at Golden Corral, 3580 Stockton Hill Road. There is an admission charge of $2 per person to assist with meeting costs.
