KINGMAN – On Wednesday, January 15, the Route 66 Yacht Club will be hosting a special presentation on tourism and related economic development at Calico’s Restaurant, 418 East Beale St. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. with a meet and greet followed by the presentation at 6:00 p.m. Attendees will receive a complimentary Mother Road Route 66 Passport. Whybark gets 20 years for hit-and-run death

KINGMAN – A Golden Valley man apologized to relatives of the Bullhead City pedestrian he left to die in the night after striking her with his vehicle last April. Joseph Whybark, 35, appeared for sentencing Monday after pleading guilty to leaving the scene of an accident involving injury or death and tampering with physical evidence. “I’m really sorry that you guys lost your mom,” Whybark said to members of the family of Krisandrea Pannell-Cashen, 62. “I mean that from the bottom of my heart.” Prosecutor Bob Moon challenged the expression of remorse noting that Whybark fled the scene, hid his…

Babiak named to MVD Dean’s List

Dr. Diane Bartholomew, vice president of academic affairs for Missouri Valley College, has announced the Fall 2019 Dean’s List. The requirements for the Dean’s List are a 3.3 or higher grade point average; at least 12 graded hours for the semester and no “D,” “F,” or “Incomplete” grades for the semester. MCC librarian earns spot in 2020 emerging leaders program

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College’s Kingman campus librarian, Erin Roper, has been accepted into the American Library Association Emerging Leaders program for 2020. The program is for librarians who have no more than five years of experience in the field.
