KINGMAN – The Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) Volunteers will host a blood drive May 20and 21at Beale Celebrations, located at 214 N. Fourth Street in Kingman. Blood donors are needed on an ongoing basis to ensure safe levels of blood in our community. BULLHEAD CITY – As the spring 2020 semester winds down later this month, officials from the Bullhead City Elementary School District are reminding parents that student grades are continuing despite the closure of campuses by State executive order.  Classes switched from traditional classrooms to distance learning, both online and via printed packets, in March. Semester grades will be determined by grade level at the elementary, middle and junior high schools in the district, according to Superintendent Carolyn Stewart. MCC student receives $10,000, named 2020 Kathy Hodel Award recipient MOHAVE COUNTY – Jennifer Jaimes Gomez is a first-generation college student and the fourth of her sisters to attend Mohave Community College. Gomez is an elementary education major and will transfer to Arizona State University in Lake Havasu City to pursue her bachelor’s in education. During her time at MCC, she has been an extraordinary student, so much so, that she has been awarded the 2020 Kathy Hodel Most Outstanding Student Award. BULLHEAD CITY – Parents wishing to enroll their children in Kindergarten through eighth grades have until May 22 to submit open enrollment applications to the Bullhead City Elementary School District.  The process requests that students be allowed to attend a school other than the one in their attendance area. The form may be printed at https://www.crsk12.org/UserFiles/Servers/Server_9253295/File/Registration/BCESD/open%20enrollment%20form.pdf and dropped off at the school district office, 1004 Hancock Road, during business hours Monday through Friday.  Drop-off bins will be available while doors remain locked and offices closed to the public.  Forms should not be taken to individual schools.
