KINGMAN – A nurse who works at the Mohave County Adult and Juvenile Detention Centers has been chosen as the region’s team member of the quarter. Staci Philips RN, Director of Nursing at the detention centers said that LPN Tabitha Howell was selected for the honor based on her performance in relation to Wellpath’s core values. Wellpath is the contracted party which provides inmate health care in Kingman at both the Adult and Juvenile Detention Centers. MOHAVE COUNTY – A pair of powerful elected officials had some intense exchanges during the budget workshop Mohave County Supervisors conducted on Thursday, March 14. The sharpness of the banter between Supervisor Hildy Angius and Presiding Judge Charles Gurtler caught others by surprise. Newest cases all in Kingman area MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Sunday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 3 COVID-19 positive cases in Mohave County. All three are in the Kingman service area. Two are in the 20-44 year age range. One of those is hospitalized and linked to another confirmed case.
