MOHAVE COUNTY – Erika Hiestand, a 2020 Mohave Community College graduate, is on the road to continue her education at Arizona State University in Tempe. Hiestand was honored to be the 2020 MCC Student Speaker during the Virtual 2020 MCC Graduate Recognition Ceremony. She was a 2019 All Arizona Academic Team member. Hiestand is a Physical Therapist Assistant student and is continuing her education to earn a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology at Arizona State University. MOHAVE COUNTY – Sheriff Doug Schuster was a big winner in Tuesday’s contested Mohave County primary election races. The re-election seeking incumbent grabbed 79% of the vote to turn back Mike Gannuscio’s challenge in the republican primary. Unofficial returns show Schuster (23,624) leading Gannuscio (6,222) by 17,402 votes. Travis Lingenfelter is leading Jim Hamersley by 274 votes in the District 1 supervisor’s republican primary.
