LAKE HAVASU CITY – Come out and show your support for local veterans at the Echo Band of Brothers softball grand opening at SARA Park on Saturday, Sept. 30. It’s all thanks to the Havasu Youth Advisory Council (HYAC). HYAC is an organization that is dedicated to helping youths explore their dreams and ambitions. It’s also an organization that gives back to the community through local projects. Detective Chaun Williams with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office once again participated in the 9/11 Tower Challenge, which is an annual event honoring the fallen heroes of September 11, 2001. This event was held at the Northern Arizona University campus in Flagstaff on Sept. 11. This is Detective Williams’ fifth time participating in this annual event. Detective Williams says he was “privileged and honored to climb for F.D.N.Y James A. Giberson, 43, of Ladder 35.” Giberson was a loving husband and father of three daughters. KINGMAN – Kingman Republican Women (KRW) will host Thomas Horne on Monday, October 2 at their general meeting which is open to the public.  Horne is the State Superintendent of Pubic Instruction.  After 24 years as a school board member and four years as a legislator, Horne served as the elected Superintendent of Public instruction from 2003 to 2011 and was elected to another term in 2023.  He served in the Arizona House of Representatives and served as Special Assistant Attorney General and Judge Pro Tem in Maricopa County Superior Court and the Arizona Court of Appeals.  He is a…
