Life savers recognized

Quick action and coordination between Hoover Dam security officers, park rangers and the Boulder City Fire Department in April saved a visitor’s life. Those officers were recognized recently for their life-saving response at an award ceremony held at the Hoover Dam Spillway House. Security officers were called to the Hoover Dam bypass bridge parking lot where a man was suffering cardiac arrest. When Bureau of Reclamation Security Response Force (SRF) officers Ryan Nielsen, William Klass, and Storm Hanks arrived, the 54-year-old man was unresponsive.   Officers quickly administered CPR and were soon joined by National Park Service rangers Meagen Martin and Alberto…

Save a Life Walk honors Domestic Violence Awareness Month

LAKE HAVASU CITY – In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, HAVEN Family Resource Center will be hosting their annual Save a Life Walk. In 2001, HAVEN was created for victims of violent crimes and for families in crisis in need of services. Rather than pass victims along from agency to agency,  HAVEN is a full service facility to ensure that the victims of these crimes are not having to relive their traumatic circumstances.  The family resource center can provide forensically trained interviewers, licensed therapists, and medically trained staff. LAKE HAVASU CITY – In celebration of London Bridge Days, Lake Havasu will be celebrating with a two-day music festival. This year marks the 52nd anniversary of this historical event.  In case you’re wondering why the London Bridge is so important, construction of the bridge was built in the 1830s.   The bridge ranged to the River Thames in London, England.  By 1968, the bridge was bought by entrepreneur Robert P. One killed in fiery crash

BULLHEAD CITY – One person was fatally injured in a fiery, three-vehicle collision in Bullhead City. Police responded at 1:17 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6 to the intersection of Highway 95 and Retail Way. Sgt.
