Literacy Council will be giving away books Nov. 2

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu Literacy Council will be giving away free books for grades kindergarten to eighth grade. Fatal crash victim identified

BULLHEAD CITY – Police have released the name of the local resident who was fatally injured in an Oct. 25 traffic accident in Bullhead City. Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said Bernard Medina, 37, was ejected when the Chevrolet Blazer he was driving left the Bullhead Parkway just south of Arroyo Vista Drive and tumbled down an embankment. Fromelt said Medina’s fiance and their 3-year-old son were not hurt in the rollover and escaped the vehicle before it caught fire.
