LAKE HAVASU CITY – A 13-week Master Gardener training course will be held Thursdays from Jan. 18, 2024 through April 18, 2024. The classes will be from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  at Mohave Community College, 1977 Acoma Blvd W. This course provides research-based horticulture information you can use as a Master Gardener volunteer or to become a more successful gardener in your own backyard! BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Fire Department recently implemented a Fire Safety coloring contest with our local school district. All fifth and sixth grade students from the Bullhead Middle School and Mohave Accelerated Learning Center (MALC) were encouraged to design a safety picture and message. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The entire community is cordially invited to attend the 20th Annual Free Community Dinner on Friday, December 8, at the Aquatic/Community Center. The team is offering two different serving times again: Early Bird serving at 4:00pm, (doors open at 3:30) and the 2nd serving at 6:00pm, (doors open at 5:45). BOULDER CITY, Nev.–The National Park Service issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) on the Lake Mead National Recreation Area Sustainable Low Water Access Plan after completing an Environmental Assessment. The purpose of the plan is to provide updated strategic direction for the future of motorized boat launching and related commercial services at five key Lake Mead NRA locations, along with facility and infrastructure needs and related implementation actions at these locations. ?The goal is to maintain recreational motorboat access in the event water declines to 950 feet. LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Field Office announces the temporary closure of certain public lands under its administration Dec. 9-10, 2023. The closure will minimize the risk of potential collisions between racers and spectators during the 2023 SNORE Laughlin Rage at the River OHV Race. The temporary closure area includes State Route 163 to the north and T.32S. R.66E sections 8 and 17 to the west.
