Mohave Community College Soccer has scheduled three ID Camps at which participants can hone and display their skills as Athletic Director and Men’s Head Coach Camilo Valencia seeks players who have what it takes to compete at the collegiate level. Coach Valencia says ID Camps are designed to identify, evaluate and prepare players seeking to compete at the collegiate level. Camps provide technical and tactical training sessions, along with small-sided and full-field games. The 51st Annual Polar Bear Day is back.   The Havasu Boat and Ski Club will be hosting the annual Lake Havasu Polar Bear Day. LAKE HAVASU CITY – ‘Twas the week before Christmas as the Lake Havasu Library was still providing arts and crafts classes that everyone could enjoy. Knotty Knitters is a group whose crafts can be seen all over Lake Havasu. For the past 11 years, they’ve yarn bombed objects around town with knitted materials. Their displays can be viewed at McCulloch Blvd locations like The Kaws and Grace Arts.   Over the years, the group has donated their unique crafts to local nonprofits such the Elks Lodge and the Havasu Community Health Foundation. The library hosted another creative event the following day with their adult…

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City police said speed and possible impairment are factors of focus in the investigation of a traffic accident that seriously injured a local man. Sergeant Eddie Espinoza said an officer was southbound on highway 95 when a BMW motorcycle passed at a high rate of speed at about 9:20 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24. To qualify for either list, students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours of coursework, be seeking their first bachelor’s degree, and have no incomplete grades during the semester. BULLHEAD CITY – No one was injured in a Sunday fire that destroyed a commercial building in Bullhead City. Firefighters responded at 12:40 p.m. to what was initially reported as a brush fire on Outpost Dr. Arriving personnel encountered a working commercial fire with heavy, black smoke emanating from the Daniells Septic structure. “The fire quickly spread through the building,” a news release said. “Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the main structure with assistance from the Mohave Valley Fire Department, For Mojave Mesa Fire Department and the BCFD CERT team.” Mohave Electric Cooperative and Southwest Gas technicians…
